Permanently closed — this award-winning café bar and Italian spot on trendy Ponsonby Road used to be a glittering neighbourhood gem. Known for its relaxed cocktails and wine list, it served up crowd-pleasing pizzas, fresh seafood, soulful comfort plates and thoughtful vegetarian options. The vibe was proudly mixed and welcoming, with many of the staff from the queer community creating a warm, inclusive front-of-house. It was a place to linger from noon through late night, where good music, friendly faces and a cheeky, elegant spirit made everyone feel part of the party. Though no longer open, its memory still sparkles for locals who loved its welcoming, celebratory energy.
