Once a glittering Old Town Havana discotheque, this Friday-night institution transformed into a spectacular LGBT party that pulsed with fearless energy. A cavernous dance floor, a sophisticated laser rig and daring pole performances drew Cuban queer youth and international visitors into a safe, sweaty, celebratory bubble. Live DJs spun upbeat sets as provocatively dressed performers — men, women and non-binary artists — served looks and movement that invited everyone to dance, flirt, and be seen. Inclusive, loud and unapologetically queer, it was the kind of place where strangers became chosen family under strobes and confetti. Note: this spot is currently closed, but its reputation for glitter, glamour and community lives on.
