Rio’s only official naturist stretch is a sun-drenched secret tucked into Grumari, where salt, sand and freedom come first. Expect a mixed, open-minded crowd — yes, plenty of buff Brazilian men, but also couples and solo explorers from every corner of the queer spectrum. It’s a liberating slice of coastline for body-positive lounging, flirting over coconuts, and sunset-watching with new friends. Getting here feels like earning a badge: there’s no direct public transport, so driving is easiest; many head to Recreio shopping mall and grab an Uber from there. Bring water, sunscreen, and a playful, respectful attitude — this is a place to relax, be seen, and celebrate queerness in the open air.
