A glittering, retro-cabaret playground that once channelled Miami’s 1950s South Beach — think Mae West glamour, cheeky cabaret and neon-soaked nights in Illovo. Expect bold drag shows, high-energy go-go performances and unapologetically fun party vibes, plus seriously good burgers that kept locals coming back for more. It was a welcoming, flamboyant room where every identity could celebrate, flirt, laugh and dance under a disco haze. Though the venue is now permanently closed, its legacy as a spirited, inclusive queer nightspot — loud, proud and deliciously theatrical — still lives in the memories of Johannesburg’s party community and in stories shared across the city’s queer scene.
